For Kids: Kate's Club

Kate's Club is a nonprofit founded five years ago by Kate
Atwood that supports grieving children of all backgrounds
in this market who have experienced the death of a parent,
sibling or other loved one through a wide range of
programs. Kate, 29, lost her own mother at age 12 due to
a long battle with breast cancer, and it was through her
own experience of going through adolescence without a
leading female role model, that she had the vision to form
Kate's Club, the only organization of its kind in metro
Atlanta.

Congratulations Kate, for taking your loss and doing
something to help others. I hope more of Kate's Clubs will
form throughout the nation and help kids who have lost
their parent. I hope someone reading this can find this
club helpful to them.
